The Piston Foundation

WHAT IS IT? The Piston Foundation is a 501 (c) (3) organization on a mission to unite and align the charitable giving interests of over 25M+ U.S. car enthusiasts. The Foundation plans to raise and channel tax-deductible donations to worthy automotive and enthusiast-related nonprofits, including car museums, educational and research / archival institutes, and racing / historical preservation entities. The Foundation seeks to become the most prominent industry activist & charitable voice for U.S. car enthusiasts.

WHO BENEFITS? With the launch of the industry’s first national fundraising platform, the Foundation will raise and redeploy donations to worthy nonprofit organizations that directly support, promote, educate, and or help to preserve the car enthusiast culture. These charitable beneficiaries will include those that preserve and maintain historical automobiles and their racing history, along with those organizations that provide educational and conservation efforts to maintain the history and culture of the automobile.

HOW IS IT DONE? The Foundation sees a leadership opportunity to launch the first “national donation engine”, a platform designed to target the 25M+ U.S. enthusiasts through social media campaigns, online crowdsourcing, and unique nonprofit donation software. The Foundation will also pursue traditional 501 (c) (3) fundraising efforts and strategic partnerships with small-to-medium-sized firms and large corporations that operate within the auto / enthusiast industry.
