The Hotchkis Installation Team recently helped autocrosser Dick Eytchison with the installation of a Chevrolet Performance LT376/535 crate engine and a T56 Super Magnum transmission in his well prepped more-door ’65 Chevelle.
The 376c.i. Gen-V engine is architecturally similar to the LT1 and LS family of small-block engines, but with a unique block casting, cylinder head design, oiling system, and more. It retains the advanced technologies of the LT1, including Direct Injection, to support an advanced combustion system and is topped with CNC-ported heads and a high-lift LT1 Hot Cam. All together, the LT376/535 delivers more naturally aspirated horsepower than its predecessors.
Watch for Dick and his wife Karyn at any number of autocross events across the country and be sure to check out the modified LT1. Also, take a look underneath the Chevelle to see a full brace of bolt-on Hotchkis Sport Suspension components to make this A-body handle!
