Vehicle Story

2001 Plymouth 1500 Drag truck,  built by W.I.N. Racing & Custom Automotive, powered by a 526 ci supercharged, alcohol injected Hemi backed by a Bruno converter drive and 2spd Lenco transmission. The Fiberglass body was modified by W.I.N. Racing & Custom automotive and painted by Jay Taylor. Engine was built by W.I.N. Racing with machine shop services from Jan-Cen Motorsports. The truck participates in T/S, Q8/16, Blown Door car and 4.70 index classes in the N. East US. Engine consists of BAE block, Bryant crank, R&R rods, Venolia pistons, Crane Cam/Lifters topped by Veney heads and intake. Boost is provided by a 1471 std. helix supercharger with Enderle mechanical fuel injection. Spark is provided by an FIE prepared Mallory mag thru MSD wires to NGK spark plugs. The Bruno converter drive is mated to a Neal Chance 10in bolt together converter and backed up by a Lenco 2spd transmission. Power is put to the ground through a W.I.N. Racing built Dana 60 using Strange Engineering Floater ends and axles, Spool and brakes attached to the chassis with a 4 link, Lamb/Koni shock commination. Hoosier Tires 34.5" X 17" drag slicks complete the transfer of power into motion and help keep it going in the right direction with 25 X4 front as well, all wrapped around Centerline Convo-Pro wheels mounted to Santhuff Struts with Strange Brakes consistently give us the stopping power we need. Safety items such as parachute and transmission blanket are Stroud, Supercharger restraint by TAK and a ballistic Diaper by Taylor. The Truck has run a best to date 4.74 ET at 149.9mph with a very mild tune.
