"Recover" doesn't really describe what goes on in the shop of Recovery Room owner Tracy Weaver.
Tracy opened the Recovery Room over 15 years ago doing custom upholstery work for a variety of private and professional builders. Over the years the Recovery Room was steadily built into a shop that can design and fabricate anything a customer wants for their vehicle.
The shop's team consists of owner Tracy Weaver and Jim Peters. Tracy has 25 years of interior design and sewing experience, and Jim has 20 years of fabrication skills that are second to none. The shop is located in Plattsmouth, Nebraska, just a couple of miles west of the Missouri River and 20 miles south of Omaha.
Tracy moved the business to the new building in Plattsmouth in 2003, allowing him to keep the cars under wraps until their owners debut them. The work at Recovery Room involves consulting with owners and builders to create a look that follows the theme of each car; then a variety of materials are used to create the look they are after. Materials such as aluminum, fiberglass, and composite materials are used to build a long lasting and stylized interior, and The Recovery Room makes the extra effort to make the panels easy to remove from the car. Recovery Room will install Dynamat products for insulation, as well as any of the electronics a customer chooses.
Recovery Room interiors can be found in numerous award winning cars including the 2006 Riddler Award winner, the 2006 Good Guys Street Rod of the Year, the 2006 Rod & Custom Rod of the Year and the 2004 Good Guys Custom Rod of the Year, and over 100 vehicles have won event interior awards with Recovery Room interiors.
The interior of a great car is just one part of the build, but at the Recovery Room, it is the most important part!
