Few cars have had as big an impact on the muscle and performance car worlds as the Chevrolet Camaro. Other muscle cars and pony cars came before, but within months of its introduction in 1967 the Camaro was an undisputed favorite among enthusiasts. It has maintained its popularity for five decades running.
Considering its unquestioned popularity – not to mention the nameplate’s 50th anniversary this year – it seemed fitting to build a first-year example of this street machine staple for the 2017/2018 Goodguys Grand Prize Giveaway. We teamed up with artist Eric Brockmeyter for design and Goolsby Customs to execute the build. Thanks to generous support from some of our industry’s top manufacturers, this sweet ’67 has become a standout street machine honoring the Camaro’s heritage while showcasing some of the best contemporary performance parts.
