Vehicle Story

At the age of 10 years old, I seen an AMT model car kit of a sublime 1970 Dodge Super Bee. I fell in love with it immediately. I have since owned a bunch of cars, but never a complete 70 Super Bee. Now at 41, I finely have my dream car.

The car has been off of the road since 1983 (ironically the year that I was born) and I purchased it in 2023 from a farm yard in Oregon. I have since made this one of my staple cars on my YouTube channel, Shade Tree Vintage Auto. The video of this cars rescue has garnered over 170,000 views in the less than six months that it has been up. Here is #thefugitive playlist.

The car is currently running a 383, 4spd, and 8 3/4 rear with 4.10 gears. This car is being built to enjoy and drive often. I am not looking to change the appearance as of now as I really want it to be recognizable from a distance. From the recent appearance at MuscleCars At The Strip in Las Vegas, it proves to do so.

In the near future, the car will be getting QA1 front suspension, Calvert Racing Rear suspension, and a disk brake upgrade. You will be able to see all of it on my channel and other social media platforms.
